longOnUranus
Typical FOMC gold slam for a coupla days here. Bought some XAU puts for a little swing. Gold will jump the creek soon. Will shares? Or will they tank w/ market? I think the later, but too risky for an options position. At some point, shrs wil come down, and I'll buy back into underlyings. It's a traders market until then.
The Mad Hungarian
Quote of the Day: From Peter Scannell, the call center employee at Putnam Investments who blew the whistle on the market timing shenanigans to Massachusetts regulators: "I've worked at a casino," says Mr. Scannell, a former maitre d' at a Lake Tahoe casino resort. "I know a racket when I see it." Nice to see that there still are a few people in the financial services industry with a sense of ethics and integrity. wndysrf
Hello Riverboaters..... Feeling much better today, now that the smoke has blown away from my neighborhood. Lots of danger signals out there for anyone who is short. Supermodels and Asian Exoticas gapping up big in the PreMarket, usually a sign from The Matrix that a FOMC Boner Run has been programmed to run today. Longer term, a few charts are making me very nervous. The worst kind of chart. The one we see time and time again. And that's the head and shoulders "top" that fakes out the bears and morphs into another run to new highs. Another thing is that the U.S. Peso appears to have made a bottom and is now screaming higher. Anyway, here are today's possible Bone Jams:

Whistleblowers get a percentage of the penalties the government collects - enough to retire comfortably, at the very least. Uncle died, cancelled Costa Rica vacation. These things are an omen. Every death in my family has been associated with a major market move ('74, 87, '99, 2000, 2001). I think God wanted me to trade this week. Auntie Septic
Hello Riverboaters..... Another thing is that the U.S. Peso appears to have made a bottom and is now screaming higher. Mark, This is something I could never understand, and perhaps you could help. If I own a promise tick, say INTC (not that I ever would, but just suppose), and this ticket is "worth" X dollars per share: INTC/X Now, if X get bigger 'cause the "value" of the dollar increases, doesn't the "worth" of INTC go down to keep the ratio the same? Guest
Most likely Brown One. I before I went to sleep last night, Taiwan Semi was having an incredible run. KLAC is also coming across the tape up 2%. Damn, my short in XLNX is probably going to take a hit today. It's up only 1/2% but, it tends to trail behind the big boyz of the SOXX.
