threadbare
Brisbane, In Vancouver, 50% of all condos were purchased for investment. Major problems looming, if demand wavers even a smidge. Not enough renters out there.
threadbare
Brian, South Pender impedes you from any peeping Tom type of behaviour! North Pender. How's your geology? Are you sitting on glacial till or bedrock? Low bank or high bank?
depends
You know that furor over the pictures of the troops coffins is one I do not understand. Up her in the Great White North every arrival of a trooper who gave his/her all in battle is covered Live by all networks. We consider it respect for the fallen. The people in the White House and the military leaders must be ashamed of what they have done and the costs. I watched wolfman and the guy with stars on his shoulders talking to the congressman on cspan the other day. One hispanic Congressman asked the general to help him. A constituent and neighbor had called him. Her son had been killed in Iraq. She asked him a question he couldn't answer, and so, he was asking the general to help him answer her. Her question was "Why did my son die." The Congressman didn't know the answer. The general said he would contact her. Where is the outrage? I think a lot of people are in denial about how embarissingly awful this invasion has become? Do we have to wait for the body count to become 55 thousand before we stop this insanity. threadbare
Brian --You sound pretty active for an old geezer!!! The whale watching around here can be stupendous, but it's really hit and miss and you hate to pester them with a high speed motor boat. Last year I stood on the shore at Thieves bay while a pod of about 50 whales swam by within about 25 feet. It was a high point of my life. If I never see them again at close range, it'll be okay. I'll PM you with more info about the island so as not to bore the general viewing audience. :wink2:
