Drano
That might be it for GOOG..gapped all the bagholders into the high yesterday..classic stuff.. YHOO will be pummeled as a major GOOG shareholder. Don't have a link, but I read that YHOO had sold a big chunk of their GOOG.
twignberries
Brian, I'm reading Bill Williams' book Trading Chaos about chaos theory and the markets. Verrry interesting. Definitely a new paradigm for thinking about the markets. I'm looking for a way to apply the techniques to a mechanical trading system. I have also ordered The Misbehavior of Markets by Benoit Mandelbrot and Richard L. Hudson.

machinehead
oil sitting perfectly still since the open, up .22 what are the odds of that (without intervention)? The open outcry crude oil pit opens at 10:00 a.m. in New York. I think the electronic market is closed for some period (30 minutes?) before the pit opens. That leads to a 'dead interval.' Guest
I hope GM's pension fund managers had the good sense to diversify their plans out of their own stock. http://139.142.147.221/StockChart_ImageOnl...NX&ref_rate=

Knucklehead Smith
71% of Crapvision poll respondents said Kerry won last nights debate. Assuming as many of 2/3 of their viewers are likely to have voted for Bush four years ago (guessing), that's pretty significant. Even the poll from the neo-cons propaganda channel has Kerry the winner. ================================================ Fox News - Who won Wednesday night's presidential debate? a. President Bush (48%) 227,327 b. Senator Kerry (50%) 234,629 c. I did not watch (2%) 8,656 d. None of the above (0%) 1,450 472,062 total votes
