Butterfield 8
China has the worst air pollution on the planet. You have a sore throat every minute you are within its borders. China just started its highway system from scratch. It was the ideal opportunity to develop alternate engine technology and high-tech mass transit. GM and the US forced them into this out of greed. depends
Do you get as many calls from india as I do? Lately I have been enjoying these games with them. I ask them where is the food I ordered and when they ask me if I am the homeowner I tell them I am in the motel and this is my room phone and where is my food? Other times I just say 'hello' over and over and then mutter 'phone must be broken' and hang up. I always am polite, but am enjoying the game because it is very confusing to the callers. hello'......hello............helllllooooo...... Wife is off to meditation class tonight. I have been trying to find a good web site to fix the Jeep - a 94 Cherokee has an electrical problem in the heater resistor. Need to find a new one. Anybody know of a good auto parts site? My search is coming up with lots but not the part I need yet.

Butterfield 8
TE - Just read thru EWI - did not see your silver chart, but did read he is predicting silver to go to 3.5 and gold to 250 - for several years. He also has The Swiss franc down to 1.16 (which is up), CAD to below 1.26, Sterling to 2.00. alongside a dollar rise to 98 to 1.03. None of it makes any sense. Guest
I have two MTN. bikes and a fireplace. Getting replacement tires might be tough. Better learn how to render pine-tar then. Its a sailors and farmers all purpose fix-it...stops leaks, waterproofs and weatherproofs, starts fires, excellent polstice when warm.....can even boil 'taters in it although it is very flamable. Good for horse linement too.
Guest
Lots of Ray Charles being played on local radio today... ---- New global mining boom forecast There are predictions Australia and the world could be on the cusp of the first mining boom of the 21st century. The past year has produced a surge in profits for the top 30 global mining houses. A report produced in Australia by PricewaterhouseCoopers has found the world's 30 biggest listed mining companies grew their aggregate net profits by 95 per cent in 2003 to $US11.5 billion. The sharemarket value of the companies has doubled in the past 18 months, and return on equity has jumped above 10 per cent. The report's author, Tim Goldsmith [appropriate name!], says the outlook for 2004 is even better amid growing demand. "This is also a shortage of supply. So the two aspects together will hopefully signify the start of a mining boom," he said. Mr Goldsmith says one of the few short-term risks relates to the sustainability of China's appetite for commodities. Meanwhile, Access Economics is predicting a bright future for the Australian minerals industry over the next 50 years.

DrStool
This was posted on another board. New war, new jam?People at the BBC are flapping about a major story!! My cousin who works as an assistant editor with BBC News in London just phoned to let me know that he has been advised to be available this weekend for a "major" coverage news story. He mentioned that all the big wigs and senior editors and producers have been in meetings all day and there are major rumors about a story that has been covered by a D Notice (the supression of a news story in the UK which may be damaging to the National Security). He also said that the managers are working and planning at a frantic pace not seen since Princess Di was killed. Almost everyone knows that something is going down but the management are saying that it is to do with the funeral of Regan on Friday but they don?t believe a word of it. He knows a few people on the top floor (secretaries) and they mentioned some people having a meeting today with the Board of Governors - there were a couple of names mentioned but he has no idea who they are - M or N Wilkinson, J Grieve and someone else named Ormand or similar - any ideas?? Thats all he could say but something is not quite right. First, we do not post material from other sites without a link. You MUST identify the source and link to it. Second. The reposted material is clearly bullcrap.
