Guest
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=^AORD&t=1d&l=on&z=m&q=l&c= I don't believe it! All Ords +0.5% and we're in blue sky yet again. Difficult to say where it's all coming from. The banks aren't exciting and News Corp only up 0.5%. BHP +1.1% which would be helping. Golds and oils may be what's propping it all up. Some reasonable gains in the gold producers with the exception of Newmont, -1.9%. The oils doing very well; Santos +3.2% and the others +1.5%. Over in Asia, things aren't so hot: Nikkers failing to gain traction, -0.3% Sth Korea tried the surge but now back to -0.1% Taiwan doing the dive, -0.4%

Guest
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=^AORD&t=5d Well there it is, in all its nastiness, another-record-high, sheesh. All Ords closed +0.5%. The good news is that oils comprised a good deal of that gain with the majors way up and many of the oil juniors going along for the ride. Golds did ok but not as well as I expected them to. The bearz still have a firm grip over in Asia: Nikkers closed flat, Honkers -0.1% (still open), Taiwan -1% and China -0.5%. Europe sank into the mire last night, no doubt it will be fairly quiet today with no lead from Wall St...
