Chances are we'll head to support at around 3463 and attempt to build up steam for another push up. Stocks mixed and not too many sellers on board so far... Golds and oils down with Woodside showing the most damage, -1.4%. Asia meandering: Nikkers -0.6%, Singers +0.2%, Sth Korea -0.4% and Taiwan flat. All Ords closed -15.8 (-0.5%) and now things get interesting.... Up or down from here, hmmm... Golds down: Lihir -2%, Newmont -0.9% and Newcrest -0.2%. In the oils, Santos +0.1% and Woodside -1.7%. It is the seventh consecutive month of falls, but it is the smallest drop since October, and HSBC senior economist Anthony Thompson says it appears the housing slowdown is levelling out.
