I attribute this new record to the erection, BUT, under normal conditions it would be a buy signal. Actually I did just that yesterday with MRK. I am a bear at heart, but couldn't resist MRK hitting its 20+ year trendline yesterday. I expect it to touch it at least a couple of more times this month....but I have a tight stop just below it in case it breaks. Good Luck...now I am off to do some chores. Wage growth is minimal, America's competitiveness is dismal, and neither candidate had the guts to call it like it is. What Americans have is a country whose economic power is large but dimming, and a military that can still throw its weight around. They voted for the guy who will use that power to make them feel "safe". Let Americans sell stocks to one another at higher and higher prices if they wish if that keeps them from believing they are going the way of the second rate.
