Pee Brain
Oh boy... GM misses by 18c If they would just stop making cars there profits would be 25% higher. What kind of comapny is this? its a finance company with a car company tied around its next. Helig-Meyers had a similar biz plan, right up until the overhead from the furniture stores pushed them into BK!

Pee Brain
Copper use in China, the world's biggest buyer, fell 21 percent in July from a year earlier, leading a worldwide decline of 3.3 percent, the Lisbon-based International Copper Study Group said earlier this week. Copper reached a 15-year high last week on expectations Chinese demand would continue to increase. China's Import Growth Slows as Lending Curbs Bite China will fail in it's efforts to become an economic superpower simply because it will lack the one thing that made it possible for the West to do so - cheap energy. But then you knew that already, right? id say maybe, the labor costs are incredibly low relative to the west and they have money for infrastruture that other asian economies dont.... im staying the course with my PM and commode positions - BTW, noticed gasoline at 2.59/gl this a.m.; thats a huge jump. here's something from drudge - i cannot and will not vote for either bush or kerrey; two sides of the same coins - both dishonest, unethical liars... here's your saving hero http://www.drudgereport.com/dnc66.htm

soup
From N Hultberg's new book "e are taught in school that the strength of the American political system lies in the fact that we have a "two-party process." This is akin to teaching that babies come from storks. It is a fairy tale we spin out to avoid messy details of reality we prefer not to face. The reality is that America is now a one-party state. The Democratic and Republican parties have become nothing but two divisions of the same party -- the Central Leviathan Party. Both divisions are corrupted to the core, lap dogs for the special interests. No matter who wins, we always get more spending, more taxes, more inflation, more bureaucracies, and LESS FREEDOM.
