rog: what does that mean? taking apart a big trader? sounds interesting (I'm thinking of an Indian movie where they tie big horses to a man's arms/legs/head and the have them pull the man apart!

Thats pretty much it. Usually when someone needs to sell a large block of stock in a liquid company like C in a very compressed time frame it is due to distress. The borkers were looking to shop it instead of buy and distribute it. It might mean they are nervous about hiolding a big piece of merchandise.

 

On the other hand:

Taiwan motherboard shipments declined December vs. November. The four first-tier mobo makers saw shipments decline by an average of 15.5% and revenues decline by an average of 18%. This is a larger than expected drop in orders and bolsters the short case for PC and semi companies.
