A couple of weeks ago I went to a psychic who told me it would be $35.00 for 15 or 20 minutes. I asked her if she'd take twenty bucks and she nearly fainted, saying of course not and you get what you pay for, you know. I told her that just a couple of months ago I'd had a reading that assured me I'd find a cure for cancer and become fabulously wealthy-all for twenty bucks--Could she do better than that? You should have seen the look of utter bafflement on her face. She should have known what was coming though. :grin: Btw, I monitor the New Age type lit for anti-semitic, anti black, pro-Aryan crap wrapped in the new space brothers mythology. It parallels the idiocy of the rapture. The book, Stargate Conspiracies is a good one to read for some enlightening info on a religion that is quietly forming all around us. This by no means implies that everyone who's into the New Age has these beliefs, but some do and it's very unsettling. You are upset by nothing... I on the other hand have been told I recieved a warning which I did not... And this is the result of the the actions... You cause something and there is an effect...whether you think so or not or care or not...simple... How can I let my kids out into the world when there are people who say they are good but will resort to lying cheating and stealing at the drop of a hat and think they can get away with it... Then hope their supporters will come to their aid...and say it ok. Supporters? what am I going to get out of Wallstreet speculators? I get more support from a Farmer. You feel betrayed by some people you never thought to expect it from. Thus you have lashed out tonight... sorta in all directions. This didn't start with MJ's post, it started last week. Sometimes blow-ups happen because of energies that just happen to converge in the same place. When people are not honest to say up front what they feel, then that becomes a problem. Especially when they go underground and complain to Doc without telling the other poster what upset them. Last week on another board here, that happened, and Doc came out and jumped all over you, unjustly I thought. The other poster was out of line but got no reprimand, so later he contacted me with a diatribe against Hyper and how we should all isolate him/refuse to reply to him. Now, I detest people telling me who I can talk to and who I can't. But this is part of the reality of what goes on around these boards. Doc has jumped on me. And I felt absolutely crushed because I knew he misread what I had said. Plunger counselled me and I didn't leave the board. I want you to remember what you told me about the danger of becoming so angry that you end up becoming like the Absolute Capitalists you describe. Please do not let that happen to you. I don't believe for one moment that you are an anti-semitic person and anybody that thinks that needs to read your posts. I suspect that this has been one of the few places in the world where you have felt half-way safe, half-way "at home." I say "half-way" because you have had some very strong allies and supporters here, but also a few detractors. Your message of future events is not an easy one to swallow. The idea of losing so much that we have all cherished is such a painful idea that most people can't even begin to consider it. Yet here, there have been many that got the message. (You know its human nature to kill the messenger in order to kill the message.) I know that if I tried to logon to this board and suddenly found I was banned, I would feel crushed, hurt, and then probably very angry. I would like an explanation from whomever did that to me. I was once a specialist in group behavior, my Doctoral thesis was to be on Beliefs, Attitudes and Values. I spent years and years protesting bigotry and prejudices in all forms. But Blacks expect to be attacked, Jews expect to be attacked and now Arabs expect to be attacked. That is reality. As long as we as a society do not openly discuss these issues, then they will simply continue and the prejudices will erupt every single time the society feels distress.... attack the "target group." Every single society has target groups that serve this function.. let's blame someone else. This is Doc's board. He chooses to have no discussion of Israel or Jews and blocks links to certain websites that he has determined are anti-semitic. I have to repect his position, but I don't understand it. Here we have a unique group of very intelligent, highly educated, and prettty compassionate humans. What better group to discuss ideas? Some people tonight have forgotten our one PRIMARY RULE: being respectful to other posters. Maybe some apologies via PM or email would help. Hyper, your family has been sick, Doc is worried about the hurricane, the market sucks and the Astros are crappy, so.... maybe there are some pressures on a lot of us that have led to hasty, angry words that that caused more hurt. If the talented group here cannot resolve its group problems, then I pity the rest of the world. I am sorry you got caught up in this mess. Your body will pitch a fit because you aren't giving it the things its used to, that it LIKES. When its about survival, it won't matter what you LIKE! And in reply to your criticism of me last week regarding the nutritional value of Dinty Moore's Beef Stew... think meat, potato and carrots. Throw in a can of peas or mixed veggies and there ya go! Throw in a can of peas or mixed veggies and there ya go! that was not a crittique of your nutritional value, it was a comment about hoarding chili . hey, would i give you a hard time, who's gonna help me find my keys? what are doing up at this hour, its late in Motown. i suspect threadbare eats a diet i could agree with, just a guess, i doubt many others here do, again, just a guess - i kid alot, but id have to be starving to open a can of DintyMoore Beef Stew, and even then id prefer to eat the can.... geez, that crap smells like dog food. i eat fresh and healthy and i think the only cans i have are tuna and 1 or 2 cans of pineapple (cant get to trader joes often enough for the fresh). i eat very clean and you'll find me every saturday morning at the organic farmer's market and when i miss it, i go to the one on tuesday about 15 miles from my house. i dont eat crap, but i suppose if the EOW really comes, id have to eat something other than tuna outta a can. my daughter and i used to fill up a wash tub with fruits & veggies all right out of the ground and most sans poison. i dont think my system is ready for canned food. edit: i rode 15 miles on the bike today (25 yesterday) and ran for an hour - try doing that with a booty full of DintyMoore - God, you're killing me with this chili talk! Once you get that through your head, you can vary the menu choices. main thing, tho, is WATER.... water to drink, cook with, bathe with, and to do laundry. yellowfish Posted September 2, 2004 Report Share Posted September 2, 2004 hyper is a genius. half crazed but still a genius. hyper tells the truth. we are at the top and we suck the bottom for our existence. to acknowledge this as true brings about self loathing that is painful. however we did not pick the time or the place of our births. we were born and we capitalized on what life presented us. thus it shall always be. no apologizes needed. the human sprit has capacity for good and evil. most of us (i hope) were raised to shun evil and embrace what is good as best we can. for the most part this site is good, very very good. and i am not talking about making money. i am talking about getting to the truth and sharing with others with whom you care about. censorship is not good, but brian laid it out. you can talk about anything but you must be civil and show respect for other posters. I got in to it with doc on an open thread over censorship about a year or so ago. In that instance I felt it was doc who was not civil and I let him know his actions were out of line IMO. He did not agree but he had the guts to discuss it. I respect doc, but I do no agree with banning hyper. this is hypers home in the ether. when I first came to the stool and read hypers words i was stunned, awakened, and afraid. his message of truth was and is a gift to all who have seen it. yes i am being dramatic but it is true the son of bitch provided insights that the rest of us just did not or could not see. For this he should always be a welcome member at stoolville. hyper may be a raving lunatic but god dammit he is our raving lunatic and we love him. hyper please try to hang in there. you can give the truth without ramming it down our throats. understand we are weak. give it to us slow. let it sink in. we will hear and understand, in time. time may be running out and that is also why it is important to keep the precious family we have in tact. doc is a fair and decent man, and much more. as are most the other blood suckers here - like me. hyper you are one of us too and you know it. there is no escaping it. if you were born in the west - the clothes you wear, the food you eat, the existence you have known were all provided via someone else suffering that is lower on the economic food chain. is it right? is it fair? no but it is what it is. forgive us and forgive yourself. I truely beleive ther is a home here for you (and anyone else) if you can sit at the table and not scream and throw insults at the other guest.
