The drug war is like the war on terror

Well I watched the convention and Aaron Russo who I knew a long time ago, was not a person who would bring new voters to the party. I thought the guy they went with was very bright and would generate some interest in the platform. There is at least a chance that some of their issues will get into the dialogue.

Ah-When you support the Shrub you always get your reward-NBC News reports an arrest warrant has been issued for Achmed Chalabi for counterfeiting and for his son Salem ( who is /was Chief Prosecutor of SoDumb) for Murder. Tie all the loose ends together Shrubster!

Gentlemen;

I propose that neither candidate is acceptable for president or dogcatcher for reasons too numerous, and too well-known here, for recitation. As I recall, the Communist Party of the Soviet Union also gave voters a couple of different candidates to choose from for some offices, none of which differed from the others in any important particulars.

Chalabi counterfeiting Iraqi currency? Well, at least let it be said he sticks to what he knows. Jordan convicted him of embezzlement.

Bearman- I never know where you are coming from-Most vets I know be they U.S.,Canadian Brit, French or German.. have had enough of Guns.. having used them a few times... the NRA are a bunch of Gomers who would run like Hell the first time a shot was fired in anger. Those who have never been there up close and personal should be and they should be condemned to repeat it. They are simply more of the crowd who can talk the talk but can't walk the walk! ;)

Big government by it's very definition will never on it's own make itself smaller. It's like the old Woody Allen joke about relationships. It's like a shark and has to keep moving forward to survive. What would happen to this economy if the government ranks shrank? Too late to turn back now. It's gotta be blown up.

Fighting around the southern Iraq oil fields that U.S.-led forces had previously thought were secure has driven out civilian firefighters trying to put out the oil well blazes, the top firefighter said Monday.

"It's not nearly as safe as they said it was," said Brian Krause, vice president and senior blowout specialist for Houston-based Boots and Coots. "We're kind of sitting ducks out there."

The Iraqi resistance in the oil fields challenges U.S. claims that southern Iraq is quickly falling under allied control.

Hi-Hat- Why in Hell have you gone to lurker status you are a original B-4 charter member-I know you are going thru a deevorce-but hey your Pals are here Chum-C'mon back into the mainstream... speaking of which Sherlock you were mumbling about losing a friend who was a Stoolie-wanna share??? ;)

Brian, your concern is deeply appreciated. Thanks!

Another Stoolie and I began to get acquainted. (Yeah, that happens.)

Then a serious glitch occurred due to my cautious, untrusting nature.

I think maybe its a "kiss and make up."

Things have improved.

Internet relationships have treaturous waters, rocks and sholls unseen.

When you try to communicate but cant see the other person's eyes,

its a real challenge. Misunderstandings occur much more readily.

Trust is an elusive element.

People try to "connect" with each other, but in a modern electronic world

its just not the same as in the days of formal introductions by someone you know.

But those who have to courage to persist in spite of those challenges may

be rewarded..... or fall flat on their faces in humiliating failure.

Sounds like the market, doesn't it?

With our bear view of the future, maybe we need to focus a whole lot

on enjoying our relationships today 'cause in the future.... welll...

Give and be loving wherever you can. That's what I think.

Sherlock

Welcome jstrack. ;)

Not that I have anything against Prubear, and I still admire Noland, it is just more interesting here - especially for long term bears.
