Hiding Bear
Hello???? Is anyone home? IT ISN'T WORKING AND EVERYTIME YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH YOU LOOK MORE STUPID THAN THE LAST TIME. I think the Saudis should just plan to announce new oil discoveries every day. It would not damage their credibilty any more than they already have. Hey Vladamir...didn't you find a few million extra barrels overnight too? IDIOTS. View it as an opportunity. Collective delusion is like hundred-dollah bills lying on the sidewalk. All you have to do is bend over and pick 'em up. Suppress your grin as you walk to the bank ... er, gold dealer. Funny that the Saudis only sold forward the same amount of crude for August as they did in July. Perhaps they are not going to sell all this extra crude? I guess that Treasury Snow at the NYSE is giving us a gift bounce after all. Never say 'bear market' again!

Guest
Periodic Nasdaq quotes delays due to hardware issues If you picked that up on a news service as coming from the Nasdaq, that could be the precursor to an eventual lock down in the event the selling pressure gets too heavy. "Due to Technical Difficulties, trading will no longer be conducted today" I doubt we'll see it today, but one of these days, I expect it. The last thing they EVER want to do is put themselves in a position where we see a bright red "Trading Curbs In" sign flashing on the TV screen. BeerMarket
Yesterday, Crapvision lied. They went out of their way to proclaim that the pipeline blast in Iraq was on a line that was for "Domestic use only and WOULD NOT AFFECT IRAQI OIL EXPORTS" Here's the truth: Pipeline blast cuts Iraq exports via Turkey as oil prices hit record high i noticed that too. of course no correction will be aired (well, maybe during mcenroe's show)

machinehead
Funny that the Saudis only sold forward the same amount of crude for August as they did in July. Perhaps they are not going to sell all this extra crude? Now that is just incomprehensible, HB. I have it on good authority -- Bloomberg, no less -- that the Saudis are opening new oil fields ... ahead of schedule ... yes, lots of them! Saudi Opens Fields Before Plan FURTHERMORE -- on even STRONGER authority -- the august white-shoe borker Morgan Stanley tells us: "It should be enough to bring prices off the boil,'' said Irene Himona, an anal cyst at Morgan Stanley in London. Prices are now in a "bubble,'' she said. Hee hee. She said "Bubble."
