Judging by how long today's surprise "good news" lasted, I would say that Easy Al will be lucky to get a polite golf clap before the sell-off after he does whatever he is going to do on Humpday.

Wal-Mart in danger of ninth straight loss (WMT) By Tomi Kilgore

NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Wal-Mart (WMT) was in danger of suffering its ninth consecutive loss after erasing earlier gains of as much as 1.4 percent. The retailing giant's stock, a component of the Dow industrials ($INDU) , was last down 14 cents at $52.37, after trading up 75 cents at its intraday high of $53.26. It hit a 5 1/2-month low of $52.10 in intraday trading. The company lowered earlier its same-store sales growth projection to 2 to 4 percent from 4 to 6 percent, but Fulcrum Global Partners had upgraded the stock, saying recent declines following the granting of class action status to a sex-discrimination case was an overreaction. The stock has now lost $4.34, or 7.7 percent since the June 15 close of $56.71, the last time the stock closed with a gain.
