machinehead
Was just studying this photo from the Amtrak derailment north of Jackson, Miss. In front of the locomotive you can see the rails, at the standard gauge of about 56 inches. On the right-hand side in the photo, the CWR (Continuously Welded Rail) extends along the trestle where it should be. On the left-hand side, it's displaced a couple of feet to the edge of the trestle, for at least two or three car lengths. CWR is typically fastened down every foot or so. Dozens of lineal feet of fasteners all gave way and sheared off? Or they weren't there in the first place?

DrStool
I still do not believe this market can go down until a week or so after the IRA cash tidal wave has passed. Maybe around 4/22. I hope I'm wrong, but as long as this money is coming in, the portfolio sphincters in the mental institutions will dump it all in to the market. Just give me a shred of evidence. It's not there yet in the price indicators, which are the only ones I trust. See last night's Anals. Take a subscribatory and download now. Click the link below. Tchaikofsky
"Technology issues will be eyed ahead of quarterly results from Internet company Yahoo after the close of trade. Investors are expected to pay close attention to Yahoo's advertising sales and earnings outlook for signs its stock is not overpriced. The stock has risen about 100 percent over the past year and hit a new one-year high of $50.99 during Monday's session." Guest
I'm surprised at how the government was able to get complete control of almost all media outlets yesterday afternoon and have the death total being reported in Iraq down to 12 by dinner hour. Is there anything that the government does now not control?

brian4
Morning Crew- Yup Kernel you are right, overnite all news of Iraq nicely removed from the sites of CNN and Reuters and replaced by the usual crap. Futures which were cliff diving over nite suddenly jammed. The smell of disinfectant in the air, Yet we are still going to open mixed. Lock n load, helmets on window at the bell for 45 minutes.
