machine's right the second "attempt" will begin sometime in july or august.  it will be insideous hyper-infaltion of the money supply.  it will pale by all historical measures.  farmer, yer priceless... far more than you give yourself credit for, the moneyness of money may be quire diffferent, i'll hold my gold as it's in history's pages, the one's i've read anwway.  looking for one of those infamous slamma jamma's into the close.  shorts on the retail side think they smell blood, that's about all the liquidity they need.  short 2k brcm, which i'm gonna box into close.  will press BZH on ramp to 95.  think gold bottoms next week and all this self fulfilling off the cliff talk ends up looking like al's diaper.  i hate it when i sound like IDS herd, but i hope yer turn is prosperous brian.
Howl
Hiding Bear: I think US interest rates have to rise this year. Â The big question is what will happen in South-East Asia. It is madness that Japan wastes so much money to stimulate foreign demand. I have heard many comparisons with the Marshall plan, where the US lent a lot of money to post-war Europe. The difference is that post-war Europe used the money to rebuild their factories. The US is using Asian credit to finance consumption and war spending. Â I think there are a lot of important people in Europe, who want the euro to become the next reserve currency of the world. They know that as long as the EU does not mess things up, the euro will gain that status. Â About colored money: The colored Euro bills contain many safety features. According to the ECB, the euro bills are the most difficult bills to counterfeit in all the world. Still, euro counterfeiting has exploded. Whenever I pay with a euro bill, the cashier checks it with an ultraviolet lamp. Even the 5 and 10 euro bills are checked. And store owners are complaining that there are some fake bills which pass the UV test. The 200 and 500 euro bills are not accepted in most stores. I have read somewhere that the ECB is already looking at the possibility of using chips to tag money.
