TheDeepBlueSea
I'd like to hear just one supported by facts and not hope and projections. We're headed straight to hell without the benefit of a handbasket to protect our sorry hides. Facts rather than . . . projections. I'm all for it. So let's start with the projection (and hope?) that "We're headed straight to hell without the benefit of a handbasket to protect our sorry hides." Guest
today could be a blowoff top for many asian stocks, crazy action... only the quickest hand and specialist could make $ in this market - there was a 1 min window where you could get in this am on some of the asia stocks when they were sold off, and then the rocket launch started...ridiculous... Guest
FWIW I think a bears-only IDS thread is a great idea. I originally seized on Stoolville with little glad cries because it was presented as a BEAR SITE and have been dismayed in recent months to see it lose direction. I don't understand why anyone would feel it necessary to switch between the two threads. You're either a bear and you're here or you haven't made up your mind so you're on the AC/DC thread, how hard is that?
GregFokker
343 on August gold has been key support. It was briefly penetrated today, down to 340.70, but has bounced back above. HUI and XAU holding up so far, down by pennies.

Yobob's projections are well detailed and better thought-out. Look through LOB archives.

Adherence to either stereotype is probably a great way to lose money. How about a value thread . . . paying less for something than it's worth. Hiding Bear
Dip buyers coming in with force. Will the gap get filled?? ASIA, CHINA green. as usual. Watching the volume very carefully. So far, very little damage. Golds holding up very well. China opening arms (and legs) to foreign investors. Many more models to choose from now. China's Main Stock Market Opens to Foreigners Foreigners could previously invest only in China's hard-currency B-share market, worth about $11 billion. China has 1,243 listed companies traded on exchanges in Shanghai and Shenzhen; their total market worth is about $500 billion.

Valuable insight from some members....some of the guys are long on stocks that do well in a bear market. It's one thing to create 2 sites for intra day trading, but to now suggest that a choice must be made between reading both is a little over the edge. BeerMarket
Check out IGEN, one of Pile's old shorts from Feb. I held 100 shares short. Might double up. IGEN: interesting situation, Roche just lost the license to a product they promised their customers they would be able to continue selling. Also one of Roche's leading growth areas. I can imagine a $20+ range for IGEN as this gets resolved, but have no idea how it turns out.
