SINA.O on Monday said that it expected second-quarter revenue and profit to significantly exceed its prior forecasts, sending its shares up 4 percent. The Shanghai-based company said it expects revenues of between $24 million and $25 million, up from its previous forecast of between $19.6 million and $20.3 million. It said earnings would reach 13 cents to 15 cents per share compared with the 8 cents to 9 cents it previously signaled. Shares of Sina jumped 70 cents to $18.20 following the company statement.
