scottcardiff
Here is why all dips are getting bought, even though we are hysterically overbought. The SP low in 1974 was 63 The SP high was 1552 The 50% pullback was 808. Actual low was 768 The 38.2% retracement level was 983.6 The 20 Month MA is 981 We are ABOVE both of these levels The 23.6% retracement of entire up move is 1201 The measured move target, now that we've had our "correction" is 2260 AS LONG AS WE ARE ABOVE 980 area, the bullish count is in play. In 1995, nobody thought the SP would triple in five years. Today, nobody thinks the SP could triple, do they? AS LONG AS WE ARE ABOVE 980, the SP could triple. Repeat that a hundred times before you put on a short position without a stop.

TRIN has been trending below 1 for the last couple hours. Someone is soaking up the supply here.
3Martinis
The top editors of the NY Times resigned today. An awful lot of people in high up positions seem to be heading for the island retreats recently .... WTF .........

MyGoldenStool
Wow, look at AMCC and PMCS's boner run because of this statement! And to think that this wasn't already priced in? "Dave Rickey, President, CEO and Chairman of AMCC said, "While I am not updating the revenue guidance delivered at our last quarterly conference call on April 23, 2003, I am reporting that the order activity has strengthened since early April. As I said during that conference call, we saw an increase in bookings beginning in April. To date this quarter, new bookings remain robust as some customers lay in several months of backlog. However, given concerns that abound in our end markets, we are not ready to call this any meaningful trend. To reiterate, we are not altering our guidance at this time, but are encouraged by the bookings momentum so far this quarter.""
Metamucil
Does BTK have ANY resistance? Depends on your time frame. Of great importance to me was surpassing 50% retrace on the monthly; lots of supply above; defer to suctor chart in anals for shorter term. riff
What happened to gold? Did the EU decide to not cut their rate? Regardless, here's to your pain JPM! EU cut by 50 BP....this one is hard to understand....would have thought Uncle Buck would have rallied a bit..... they rallied it at the end of the day yesterday so they could sell the news.... The cut was already a given...... Wait til we get the 'surprize' rate cut by the fed...... maybe....friday the 13th....... that should plow uncle buck right through 92...... and gold through 375.00.
