rog
As I was driving to the office this morning, on my Crapvision radio station they announced that one of the states- ?Indiana? was planning on selling bonds to raise money to invest in the stock market. I'm surprised no one mentioned it here. Guess we have a bit more upside to go. NJ tried the same thing. Ended up with $3.5b capital loss and $5b in bonds they have to pay interest on. Best of luck to the remaining states.

Injured Grizzly
Christy Whitman, as NJ governor, sold bonds to buy equities in '99 and lost, as I recall, a few billion dollars. Maybe Indiana is doing it now. Fascism = blurred lines between government and business. Casinos are great examples. Since NYSE/NAZ = casino, the move to equities is no surprise. SPX: I don't think Indiana is doing that. Someone mentioned Illinois earlier. As stupid as our Governor is, it wouldn't surprise me if Indiana does it too. Guest
Be carefull with intra day false picture painting. We are dealing with Months end Jamboree. Should see red on monday. I thought they have frontrun the end-of-month painting already? Isn't it that they have frontrun everything in the last two months? War rally, end of war rally, lower-dollar-higher-export-higher-GDP rally, end-of-month rally? Maybe we'll have 2nd-half-recovery-rally, 2nd-qtr-beatingestimate-rally, end-of-quarter-rally next... Everything is frontrun. Bulls stampede on each other to buy. Desperate chasing performance and beta.

SupplySider
wndysrf Posted: May 29 2003, 08:41 AM House.com (HOV) up $5 already. Except, unlike dot.coms, it actually has earnings. It has earned $5.87 profits in the last twelve months, which actually makes it a d@mn steal compared to Ebay, Amazon and Yahoo which are off into bubble land. Injured Grizzly
The number 1 reason for the drop is I covered 2 of my Sept puts at the top of this move and bought a call. I also doubled down on my puts at higher levels in June. This strategy probably won't work because it never does for me. I'm ready for SPX 900 next week.
