Fart- Cycle vary. I use 6, 7, or 8 minute bars for the 5 hour and 1 day cycles. 24 minutes for the 3 day cycles, 40 minutes for the 5 day, and 60 minutes for the 8 day. When you get to 60 minutes, using 56 or 64 minutes per bar on't make any difference. A nominal 8 day cycle has 3120 minutes. Half span is 1560 minutes. 26 periods in the sto's=1560 minutes 0r half the span of the nominal cycle length. Working with livecharts or most intraday charting programs it's faster to change the minutes per bar than change the number of periods in the indicator. Close enough for gummit work. Expects to take profits on big upspike in gold on Monday, but only because he is as grim in his concerns as he was just before 9/11. He asked that regardless of what your religious persuasion was that you "pray" that what he fears does not happen and that he will be able to communicate with subscribers on Monday.
