All the headlines are touting '3 RATE HIKES', about the meaningless Fed Funds rate. Fed Funds Rate? With $1.5TN in excess reserves? It's a non sequitur. Is this a result of the pay downs being put to work, shorts' testicles in a vice, an early start on resubstantiation day, none of the previous, or a combination of one or more? I imagine it's too much to hope for Powell to say something stupid in his comments that takes 'er down. Guess it doesn't matter. Guess ya just gotta hold your nose and trade it.
