They've been ratcheting up fear all weekend, making the worst-case scenarios seem like the most-likely scenarios.

It's the same playbook they rant in 2009 to demand bailouts on casino capitalism's terms.

Eff 'em. I hope opponents to yet another corporate bailout hold the line.

Let their bondholders takeover Boeing and United and the rest of them.

Let there be markets.

Let there be capitalism.

Aha, a local case of the virus has popped up, a French backpacker staying at a hostel.  My gym has closed (NOT HAPPY) and there's been severe restrictions placed on state border crossings, residents and truckers only.  No fly-in fly-out interstate mine workers allowed but normal intrastate FIFO ok.  No bars or restaurants open.

140 cases in my state at the moment, 1629 total Australia-wide.

Just what we need:

More than 250 of the 1700-plus passengers on board the Magnifica cruise ship had reported upper respiratory illnesses.

The West Australian government is trying to resist a cruise ship with hundreds of unwell passengers docking in Fremantle after passengers from other ships disembarked and were confirmed to have coronavirus.

Futures at 2215 right now. Nikkei didn‘t close at new lows, it is way up from the march low. Something is fishy here...
If 8000 falls in DAX.... that is the absolute maginot. Above 8k means „ok, we have it somewhat under control“, below 8k means „crap, we lost it!“

But, due to all those interventions from the CB‘s in the last 10+ years, my mind is trained to believe that THEY can stage a moonshot out of thin air anytime and anywhere they want. So I also would be not surprised a single bit, if we would see 2400 today.
