This is the bottom. I know it. I can feel it. Can you feel it Randolph?

Absolutely.

The muskrats have come up my creek again like every spring to make a den.  By next year they might be looking pretty tasty. An old Michigan delicacy, or so I am told.

Federal Banking Agencies Provide Banks Additional Flexibility to Support Households and Businesses

The federal bank regulatory agencies today announced two actions to support the U.S. economy and allow banks to continue lending to households and businesses. They are:

  • A statement encouraging banks to use their resources to support households and businesses; and
  • A technical change to phase in, as intended, the automatic distribution restrictions gradually if a firm's capital levels decline.

Instead of outright grants, let's create a whole new class of indentured servants.

Dear Rail Europe customers

As you know, it is a complicated time for everyone with most European authorities having decided to raise their travel warnings to the highest level as the coronavirus is spreading. As per official announcements, much European travel has to be suspended until further notice. However, please note that our booking platforms remain operational, and our systems are updated in real time with revised train schedules from all European train operators.

We have been in daily contact with European train companies and trying to get a clear refund policy for all the bookings for travel dates up until mid-April. You can read more about this here.

As Europe has now become the epicentre of the coronavirus pandemic, and Rail Europe’s headquarters are in Paris, our teams are all working from home now, following government recommendations. Our primary concern is to preserve the health of our employees and local communities and so, if this means that our customer service has slowed down, we hope you will understand. We are of course committed to providing all possible assistance and support.

We would like to extend our thoughts to you, and your families, during these difficult times. In the meantime, please rest assured that we look forward to providing the service we always promise, as soon as we beat this crisis.

Stay safe.
Warm regards,

Dâu-Khôi NGUYEN
