Green all the way for the early openers: Kiwis +0.4%, Aussies +0.5%, Japan +0.8%, Sth Korea closed.

Aussie sectors heading north: REITS +1.3%, Utilities/IT/Gold/Consumer Staples all +1%.  Energy is the only down sector, -0.3%.

All Ords drifted down to finish +0.2% for the day with sectors ranging from REITS +1.1% down to Energy -1.2%.

Over in Asia, China +0.8%, Hong Kong -0.3%, Japan +0.8%, India currently -0.2%.

UK/Europe stalled: FTSE flat, DAX +0.1%, CAC ?

I'm changing over to another broadband network tomorrow so there may be delays/glitches .. I'll be back at some stage ...:)

The ECB announcement is at 7:45 EST.   I see estimates of 20 to 50  billion Euros a month in QE.   I'll guess anything under 30 is going to bring an initial negative reaction.

Complaints that 20bn/mo isn't enough QE.  It's never enough.  There is no possible way to convince QE fans that it doesn't work because they will always say it wasn't enough.
