German corporations often operate at least in part on principals that include not just profit and shareholder value but also trying to serve the interests of the public and workers. The entire Democratic political establishment is pro 'ease' and thus MAGA. What passes for the Left/Liberal wing of the Democratic party is even more all in on 'ease', in the form of MMT, even though they don't know what it means. That it really means just Fed balance sheet expansion is fine by them. I don't blame Powell and the Fed for the about face. The entire political world was against normalization. For better or for worse that is how politics works.The thing is Trump isn't needed for ease. Everyone except Warren will happily deliver.
