All Ords managed to squeeze out a gain for the day, +0.4%.  Utilities +2.2% and Telecoms +2.1% were the main gainers with Materials/Miners at the other end, -0.3%.

Steep losses in Asia: China -1.5%, Hong Kong -2.4%, Japan -0.9%, India -0.6%.

Down for starters in UK/Europe: FTSE -0.4%, DAX -0.8%, CAC -1.3%.

Only 20 SPX points to go before we wipe out April.  April!  I'm trying to say that the scale of the post 2016 election rally is so gigantic that it's hard to imagine it even being dented. We may well get there but at this point it isn't even a gleam in the eye and without something like that nothing has changed. And then there's TNX.

I'll stick my neck out and say again that it was the greatest "rally that fools the majority" in history. 

I kind of think that the death of US democracy is kind of bearish. 

Just look at that broadening top pattern on the weekly.

I don't disagree. It isn't going to play out in any short term, probably.  I mean I can think of how it would but being  old and comfortable would prefer not to see it. Even then the bad bad stuff would mostly happen to others, first.
