Jorma
Lee, were you aware of what this article you linked to yesterday said? https://www.theinstitutionalriskanal cyst.com/single-post/2019/04/08/Forget-Everything-You-Heard-About-Rising-Interest-Rates There are plenty of things to consider but this pops out. "Just as the FOMC has been unable to achieve a certain level of inflation, neither can they engineer rising interest rates. This is one of the unanticipated side effects of "quantitative easing" or QE. " Then goes on to say rates were blowing out. Whatever, I guess. The NY Times has an editorial going about the Fed and it's "mistakes post recession", which I am paywalled from reading, but dollar to a doughnut it's in a similar vein. Goblet y gook and then, low rates please, Later it will be "more QE". FOMC minutes today. The flight of the doves. NY Times calling for ease. Substantiation of the Netanyahu win, well that's my story. Super bullish.

DrStool
When I was in Croatia, 5 weeks in Split and a few days in Zagreb, I did not hear a single police or fire siren. Since I've been home in Philly, the noise hasn't stopped. Unreal. The quiet was really noticeable in Croatia. Even in Nice I heard sirens, although certainly not every day.
