Jorma Posted February 25, 2019 Report Share Posted February 25, 2019 Powell gives Senate testimony tomorrow, 10 AM EST, and the House Wednesday. With the right words he can declare it is a new age. For once in a couple of decades I am going to be watching CSPAN. Streaming that is. No politician is going to ask the right questions but the right or wrong answers might be historically significant. I can't find when these semi annual reports and testimony usually happen. The Fed site says there was a report issued 2/22. Powell had been scheduled to appear before a joint House/Senate committee in December that was postponed, while the market was falling and Trump was screaming at the Fed. If that was supposed to be the mandated semi annual testimony I don't know. Behind the scenes we can assume that there has been stupendous pressure on Powell and the committee.
