Some might get a kick out of this.  As a motorcycle rider with a very casual interest in top level racing, Moto GP, here is a fun story.

This after borrowing over $2bn over the last 8 years and paying it all out as special dividends. I take the contention others were clamoring to buy a stake in this under advisement.

Mind you this entity has virtually no tangible assets and it is almost impossible to watch the races in the US on TV. There is 1 race here a year, sometimes there have been 2.

I arrived in Split yesterday and am settling in. Amazing place. Very ordinary outside  the old city- Diocletian's Palace, but once you get inside there, and out on  the waterfront, wow.

As usual, bears can't  close.

Would love to see a gap down in the morning setting up a nice little island top.

Wishful thinking.

Powell gives Senate testimony tomorrow, 10 AM EST,  and the House Wednesday.

With the right words he can declare it is a new age.

For once in a couple of decades I am going to be watching CSPAN. Streaming that is.

No politician is going to ask the right questions but the right or wrong answers might be historically significant.

I can't find when these semi annual reports and testimony usually happen. The Fed site says there was a report issued 2/22. Powell had been scheduled to appear before a joint House/Senate committee in December that was postponed, while the market was falling and Trump was screaming at the Fed. If that was supposed to be the mandated semi annual testimony I don't know.

Behind the scenes we can assume that there has been stupendous pressure on Powell and the committee.
