Sectors ranged from IT +2% down to Healthcare -2.5%. A big day in Asia: China +1.8%, Hong Kong +1.2%, Japan +1.3%, not sure what's happening in India, appears to be a chart glitch. I was in Shanghai in 04 and this song was playing on some loudspeaker outside the Oriental Pearl Tower when I went in for the tour to the top. There were a bunch of chairs and one guy was sitting there. An hour or whatever later when I left the song was still playing and the guy was still sitting there. Rising rates are attracting money away from other investments. Money growth has slowed to a crawl. And a weekly proxy for margin borrowing has gone through the roof over the past 2 months.
