Your probably right but it's all so extraordinary.  If cycles reflect mood at some point the ugly mood now should translate into bad things for stocks. Maybe Davos man will say enough of this sillyness.

Davos Man is currently confused as to why absorbing all of the worldwide wealth and concentrating it into the talented and virtuous hands of Davos Man is apparently not leading to a permanently high plateau for Davos Man.

Current and soon former WH Economist says GDP may be zero in first quarter if shutdown persists. That seems like a stretch but if you consider it actually going through March 31st I suppose it's possible. Air travel collapsing.  Tax refunds slowed.  FBI men doing squeegee duties on Pennsylvania Ave.

Trump is a common extortionist, holding Federal workers and the entire US economy hostage until his demands are met. The only one who can stop him is McConnell, and he loves the role of being the only one who can, so he won't.

Trump thinks he is the puppet master who has everything under control. He has not.  He will be brough down. More and more Republicans will realize that he destroys everything the US stands for. They will force him to resign. The deal will be that he doesn‘t end up in prison. Others of his mob will, Kudlow included.

Kudlow won't go to jail. He's a flunky but not a criminal. The Trump family is a crime family. They're common mafiosi. His insider circle should all go to jail, but if he prevails, he'll be free and the rest of us won't be.
