The cash they're not spending is piling up at Treasury and they are paying off T-bills in hunnert billion chunks. That floods the markets with cash. But there will be hell to pay when that ends. Thing is, it may never end. Trump is getting everything he wants. Suffering workers, government chaos, and a rising stock market. That goddamn piece of shit feels he wins by creating misery and chaos, and he measures it by the stock market. Shutting down the government and not paying people is a winning formula for him. And that human pustule McConnell supports it. He is the only human being on earth who can stop this. As long as Trump is Putin's useful idiot, Putin wins, Trump wins, McConnell wins. Do you have a seat of the pants current number on the delayed auctions. I guess we don't know the current Treasury surplus number. The last reported one was in the $350bn ballpark? Rates go down and money flows into stocks. But when the shutdown ends the QE ends. I am sure traders are positioning themselves for a short sharp fall in prices.
