sandy beach
ILMN Illumina buys Pacific Biosciences PACB. PACB up 66.74% on the news. ILMN not open yet but should fall. They are paying an incredible 70% premium. This gives ILMN long sequencing technology to go with their standard 100bp technology opening up de novo assembly of novel genomes and highly representative sequencing. Long term should be good for ILMN but that is a hefty price-tag.
