Whoosh!  Any hopes the US might engineer a bounce were gone today: Kiwis -1.3%, Aussies -2.1%, Japan -3.4% and Sth Korea -2.5%.

Slaughter in Aussie sectors: Consumer Discretionary -2.9%, Miners -2.8% and Healthcare/IT/Materials all -2.6%.

All Ords 5-day chart




All Ords went completely off the rails to finish -2.8%.  The Gold sector edged into the green, +0.3% but for the others it was sell everything: Healthcare -3.6%, Miners -3.5%, Consumer Discretionary -3.4% and Materials -3.2%.  Possibly it was a capitulation day but we'll see..

Asia came off the intraday lows: China flat, Hong Kong -1%, Japan -3.7%, India -1%.

Hopeful green in UK/Europe: FTSE flat, DAX +0.6% and CAC +1.4%.

Sold XLNX XILINX INC for $77.90 for a small profit. They issued excellent guidance. The company is executing well.  They should continue to do well in the artificial intelligence market.

So yesterday's last hour didn't happen.  The key level now is 2694. If that's breached, then this is probably a reversal. If not, then the downtrend remains in force.
