I thought AUY was a deal at $9 and I think Gold bears watching from here on out.  Please join the discussion and help us to realize many, many gains to come with your insight and encouragement.

5th wave unfortunately looks like it may be a disappointment now, sure thought it would carry us higher. Watching the 2-4 trendline very carefully.  Stopped out trying to catch this 5th wave.  At least I caught most of the wave 3 impulsion for a good trade. Break of the trendline not encouraging about making 1400+ anytime soon.  Held off on SLV in light of this shaky Gold status.

Good to see Mr. Hanky working hard...

They settled AUY at 8.98.  Be interesting to see if buyers and sellers continue to build some sideways cause down at these levels for awhile.

I'm still the lazy gold investor, was hoping "the Goobs", (forgot his real username already) would show up with his %B chart and call the bottom.   I bought heavy his bottom call in November 2008 and did very well.   Come on Goobs give us the scoop!!!

Lucky,

How about buying just a little, even if it plays out to being early.

Gold has retraced 2/3rds of the 2008-11 rally.  Did Goobs use fibs in his charting?

I know the plan should be to buy low and sell high  (my biggest problem not selling high),  but the last two years has been a butt kicking of buy low sell lower with gold and miners. I thing Goobs did use Fibs.  I am encouraged with the good Jan gains in miners,  usually means higher by end of year,  check the January price movement of DDD last year.

Break out from this orderly bullish consolidation this morning offered a low risk trade set up so I jumped in using GLD... see what happens.  In no mans land right now as far as a longer term view???

If same thing happens here I'll add...

7 waves within a channel up to .38 FIB says this is corrective move against the impulse down, now watching break of lower trendline to confirm this rally is over and we are entering another move down.  Hopefully we take out high and break out of this channel so I can change my view!   I wasn't able to add to my intitial position but see if this one makes us anything.

I know your pain and being early into a market can rattle the emotions.   I'd like to watch and see how the miners hold up if the broad market indexes pull back.
