goose
Does anyone here have an opinion on Brent Cook and his news letter. I'm looking for a good news letter to help me pick stocks for the next leg up in the pm's. I've been trying on my own for the last couple of years and really haven't been doing very well. All of them are at least a double or more and 2 were bought out. That is a much better track record than mine. I have only been able to break even, either my picks go up a little or down. From listening to Brent on a couple of shows, he seems to look for good management, good projects and country risk. I have no background in mining or business. So I don't know how to look at dirll results. I also seem to be unable to find good company management.

goose
Thanks Dharma, he has a monthy pay system. So if his letter isn't something that I like or get any benefit from then I'm not out a lot of money. I'm sure he will be better than my 30% success rate. I really would like to start making money again. I wish I had the smarts that others have here on this board, I just really don't understand geology, but I understand gold is the place to be. If I had any idea I'd be a happier person, but in the meantime: QE3 is probably in the works and we might as well gun the metals in anticipation. There won't be any need for deflation in liquid assets.
Ageka
The Portuguese refuse to balance their budget so the government fell and the prime minister left . So we know now what the next few days news is going to be about What we do not know is how long Germany is going to be willing to pay for all the big spenders . Is the dollar going to go up for a week now ? together with gold again ?

Ageka
ageka- what is the feeling in europe of the portugese move or lack there of? dharma Everybody is too busy fighting his own fight France is bombing Libya as if there is a special reason . The Norwegians left because there is no single leader in this non Navo controlled Libya fight. Belgium had big strikes by mostly socialist unions for better pay of course. Ireland wants more favors and is not getting them . Spanish banks are undercapitalised and the next problme. Germany has important elections I think next year and this makes Merkel will have to act tough So between Libya (with the Navo Turkish angry they were not invited in Paris ) and Japan and the German elections and since everybody expected Portugal to "fall" they are just following each their own political agendas . Because of the elections in Germany more QE with a bigger "stability fund" will have to wait until after the elections . So the present fund has to do until they establish this bigger stability fund afterwards when nobody has a political problem with that .
Ageka
I have 10% cash because I estimate the downward potential to be limited to the next 3 weeks and the short term selling opps are not materialising (yet)
dharma
thanks ageka-interesting take silver looks toppy to me. it has been a rocket ride. the fundsters were overleveraged so the banksters raised margins and down goes frazier. i dont know if the top is in or not. not evidence for me to draw a conclusion. so , i am listening. @some point i think 1307 gets tested. waiting is the toughest part for me. dharma by the way notice how there is more talk of a gold standard. latching the dollar to the price of gold will lock in the masses to the poor house. in the 30s gold was $20 an oz. roosevelt called in all the gold , then raised the price to $35 an oz thus cutting the pp of the buck in almost 1/2. a similar thing appears to be in the cards. especially w/alot of top banksters now openly talking about it
