Bungster
I'm looking at upside versus downside volume on the NYSE over different time periods.....We are dead even on a 1,7,12,18 and 20 day period........Ms. Market is being very mysterious on which way it intends to go... I just figure the boyz are looking to see from whom they can take the most $$ - bulls or bearz...

I_Am_Madness
There is also a high probabilty that if a close is in the lower 1/3, then the next day it will be within the upper 2/3 of the day's trading range. How do you determine what the highs and lows of the range is for the day? For example... Last Monday, during the morning we printed a low at around 1106 follow by a bounce to 1111. It trade sideways for 4 hours. Prices then started to HEAD down at around 3:15pm. I assume you play the long when prices approached 1106-1108 assuming prices will close at the 2/3 of the range. We all know what happened after. Prices took a quick spill to 1098.
Charmin
It's good to see bullishness persist inside of a trading range at the level the market is at - especially if you want no one to suspect a downside break is coming. In the world of Mr. Widget I'd prefer to see the "Easy Does it" trade pan out instead of moving higher "inside the box." "Easy Does it" = slight trend lower. Hey, Asia is not too excited tonight.
